Woo Gallery & Boutique Hotel – 4-Star Luxury & 100+ Years of History in Old Town

Entrance to Sitting Room

The hotel is situated in the absolute center of Old Town where it has 2 entrances exiting 2 of the main roads in the town. It is extremely convenient for folks wanting to do some shopping, café hopping, and just exploring and have the comfort of AC & your room within 3-10min of walking.

One of the entrances to the hotel lands you in the middle of the Sunday Night Market when it happens.

The Room

We absolutely loved the hotel, and in hindsight probably should have just stayed there for our entire 8-day trip, because of how clean and comfortable it was. The staff at the hotel was so lovely, they even had tailored bookmarks made for us for Christmas. The room we stayed in was on their top floor had a tiny balcony that overlooked into the courtyard and the mountains behind the town. The bed was spacious and firm and there was an extra-long traditional couch in the room for lounging around.

The Hotel

One of the big draws when booking was the history and the ancestral home vibe that you can get at these 100+ year establishments. There were old antiques everywhere you went, in the windows, in the shelves, and on all the tables. The yellow color on the walls created a feeling of warmth that truly resonated with the hotel. My favorite part of the hotel was the little ride antique tricycle in the courtyard, which reminded of the one I had when I was a little girl in China. Brought back very fond memories of my family.

The Location

The hotel is particularly close to all the Michelin guide restaurants like Khun Jeed Yod Pak Restaurant (literately next door), Roti Taew Nam (a block away), and O Cha Rot Beef Ball Noodle (also less than a block away from one of the entrances). There were numerous hipster cafes within 5min of walking. I will be writing a piece on the food and cafes of the old town as well, so stay tuned.

Hand-drawn map to everything you will ever need near the hotel.

Highly recommend this Woo Gallery & Boutique Hotel to any traveler that wants to enjoy the Old Town like a local and be completely immersed in the environment.
